Price Your Item Correctly in Australia

This is Part 6 of our guide to selling items online faster in Australia. Pricing is one of the biggest reasons listings get ignored. If your price is too high, buyers scroll past. If it is fair and clear, you can get messages quickly.

Simple pricing tips for a faster sale

  • Check market value: search similar items and compare condition, brand, and included extras.
  • Price slightly lower for a quick sale: even a small drop can increase interest.
  • Use round numbers: prices like $50, $120, or $300 often look cleaner and easier to decide.
  • Mention if it is negotiable: if you accept offers, say "Negotiable" to reduce back-and-forth.

For general items, list in Marketplace. Individuals can post up to 5 Marketplace listings for free.
